night -08/10/14, just triggered my memory to recall that the Kenya Tourism
Board was in September at a gala night in Abuja, Nigeria crowned as Africa’s
leading tourist board.
The Kenya Tourism Board has secured the top position successively
for three years since 2012.
During the 2014 World Travel Awards, KTB trounced other
nominees for the top position among them the Egyptian State Tourist Office,
Gambian Tourism Board, Moroccan National Tourist Office, Namibian Tourism
Board, Nigeria Tourist Board, Tanzania Tourist board, South Africa Tourism and
Touring Ghana.
Other top scorers from Kenya who received recognition at the
World Travel Awards held on 6th September were; Kenya Airways (Africa’s Leading Airline – Business Class),
Diani Beach (Africa’s Leading Beach Destination), Sarova whitesands Beach
Resort & Spa (Africa’s Leading Beach Hotel), Masai Mara National Reserve
(Africa’s Leading National Reserve), and Rhino Africa Safaris (Africa’s Leading
Safari Company) among others
