TWS||Nick Waigwa

To maximize innovation, we are focusing development on Upwork, said oDesk Chief Executive Officer Stephane Kasriel as he announced the re-launch of oDesk as Upwork.

Upwork formerly oDesk is a marketplace where clients and freelancers can identify each other, buy and sell freelancer services.

The site, now accessible through www.upwork.com provides services to clients and freelancers, including hosting and maintaining the Site, enabling the formation of service contracts between Clients and Freelancers, and managing disputes related to those Service Contracts.

“Today we took the first step in bringing a new vision for Elance and oDesk to life by re-launching oDesk as Upwork.” Upwork CEO

Acknowledging that Elance is now an Upwork Company, Stephane Kasriel clarified that Elance remains unchanged at the moment.

He encouraged Upwork members to seize the company’s benefits including new messaging tools for faster collaboration, a new mobile application for iPhone & Android as well as the new Hiring Hub

Upwork Affiliate, Elance Escrow Corporation ("EEC") provides Escrow Services to Clients and Freelancers to deliver, hold, or receive payment for an Engagement, and to make payments to Upwork.

EEC is a licensed Internet escrow agent and holds California Department of Business Oversight License No. 963 5086. The Escrow Services are intended for business use, so you agree to use the Escrow Services for business purposes and not for consumer, personal, family, or household purposes.

Upwork Chief Executive officers says the re-launch does not affect previous Odesk login details of oDesk account holders.
